The COP30 in BelΓ©m reminded us of something essential: climate action needs to be rooted in territories, communities and collaboration. From the Danish Pavilion to the edge of the Amazon, the message was clear: this is the COP of implementation β€” and innovation ecosystems like the GreenNova Hub play a crucial role in this.
For three days we were alongside Clean – The Danish Water and Environmental Cluster, the International Cleantech Network (ICN) and partners from Brazil, Denmark and other countries to accelerate solutions capable of going from pilot to scale.

Day 1 – Networks that unlock collaboration
We participated in the “Urban Connections for a Sustainable Future” session with ICLEI, La FΓ‘brica de Renca (Chile) and Prefeitura de NiterΓ³i – SMA Γ³i, discussing how city networks and public-private partnerships expand access to innovation.
We ended the day by co-organizing the Sunset Reception & Networking at Palacete Pinho, together with  Orla Brasil and with the welcome of the Prefeitura Municipal de Belém — bringing together representatives from Salvador, the Government of Rio, Vestas, Ramboll, Vale, OceanPact Serviços Marítimos, ICLEI, WRAP, Instituto Mar Urbano, Copenhagen Business School, BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt and others.

Day 2 – Local realities and territorial impact
The visit to Combu Island showed how climate change is already affecting smallholders – and how off-grid solutions for water, energy and storage can protect livelihoods.
Back in BelΓ©m, we reinforced the importance of advancing water, sanitation, waste, sustainable tourism and circular systems projects with the support of local governments and partners.

Day 3 – Industrial decarbonization and new partnerships
At the Danish Pavilion, we moderated the panel Decarbonising the Hard-to-Abate Industry – Industrial Symbiosis in Action, alongside Clean, SEAS and Impact Fund Denmark.
We presented the new Facilitator’s Guide: Industrial Symbiosis – From Kalundborg to Rio, and discussed how blended finance can make innovation and industrial symbiosis projects implementable and scalable.
We have also advanced cooperations with WRAP, Vale Fund, African Climate Foundation, TETO Brasil, CBS and other partners in circularity and climate finance.

Technology, alone, does not generate impact β€” bridges do. Bridges between innovation, financing, governance and territorial needs. This is the role of clusters: to connect ecosystems so that sustainable solutions become investable, scalable, and accessible to the cities and communities that need it most..
